Diseases related to oxidative stress being studied in the Antioxidant Research Division

There are currently more than 150 diseases that are known to be related to oxidative stress.

Here’s an example.

Cancer
High blood pressure
Arteriosclerosis
Dementia
Diabetes
Neurological diseases (Parkinson’s, ALS, Alzheimer’s)
Allergic diseases
Inflammatory diseases

All of these diseases are related to oxidative stress, and with 150 different diseases, it can be said that almost all of them have something to do with oxidative stress.

The Division of Antioxidant Research at Gifu University is currently working with research institutes to obtain evidence for lowering oxidative stress in people with various conditions.

Here is a list of some of the diseases being studied in the Antioxidant Research Division of Gifu University.

Neurological diseases (Parkinson’s disease, ALS, Alzheimer’s disease)
Sleep apnea syndrome
Inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis)
Chronic inflammatory disease (rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)
Chronic fatigue syndrome
Cancer (improvement of fatigue and appetite in terminal stage)
Thyroid disease (Graves’ disease, adenocarcinoma)
Diabetes mellitus (lowering of blood glucose level and HbA1c, peripheral neuropathy)
Hypertension
Pregnancy-related (hyperemesis gravidarum, pruritus)
Liver disease (NASH, cirrhosis)
Hay fever
Asthma

New research results and information on the relationship between these diseases and oxidative stress will be published on this website as needed.
