TIMA Tokyo Co.(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Sho Tanaka), in collaboration with Haruhiko Inufusa, Project Professor, and Toshikazu Yoshikawa, Professor Emeritus, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Department of Antioxidant Research, Center for Scientific Research, Gifu University, Tokai National University Organization. Nine couples (32%) reported pregnancy after a 12-month trial, and 80% of participants reported improvement in male function.

Background of this monitoring study
Recently, it has become known that “oxidative stress” is associated with all kinds of diseases. In addition to being produced as a byproduct of daily breathing, reactive oxygen species (ROS) are also produced daily by external factors such as ultraviolet rays, radiation, bacteria, viruses, and air pollution, as well as by lifestyle factors such as smoking, large amounts of alcohol, unbalanced diet, illness, and stress. On the other hand, the body originally has the ability to eliminate ROS (antioxidant power), which enables the body to suppress the damage caused by ROS. However, as we age, this function declines, and when ROS cannot be suppressed, cell damage and inflammation occur, leading to as many as 150 different diseases. This imbalance is called oxidative stress.

Sperm are extremely susceptible to oxidative stress, and when oxidative stress is high, the sperm become less mobile, sometimes resulting in deformities and deaths. Oocytes are also affected by oxidative stress in the same way. When the egg’s membrane and other parts of the egg are damaged by oxidative stress, fertilization becomes impossible. It is also known to affect the secretion of female hormones, causing ovulation to stop or become irregular, which is a major cause of infertility. As you can see, there are causes of infertility in both men and women, so it is necessary to examine both. However, of course, the ability to conceive is affected by changes in the physical condition of the woman who is to bear the child. If antibodies against sperm, called “antisperm antibodies”, develop in the woman, her sperm will be damaged. In addition, a decrease in vaginal mucus may prevent sperm from entering the vagina and physically reaching the uterus. In addition, there are many other causes that need to be considered, such as the affection and atmosphere between the man and the woman, and the timing of intercourse.

Thus, most of the causes of infertility are due to oxidative damage caused by oxidative stress. For this reason, this monitoring survey was conducted based on the idea that the most effective way to get pregnant is to lower oxidative stress, in other words, to suppress the generation of these oxidative stresses and to consume antioxidants that prevent oxidative damage.

This monitoring survey was conducted from December 19, 2018 to December 12, 2019 for the monitoring members of the “Review Blog” operated by the contractor Eyes Co.

About Twendee Mtcontrol
The scientific name “Twendee Mtcontrol” is an antioxidant formula containing 15 kinds of useful ingredients such as folic acid, vitamin C, and amino acids, which was developed mainly by Haruhiko Inufusa, Specially Appointed Professor of the Antioxidant Research Division, Joint Research Department, Science Research Foundation Center, Gifu University, Tokai National University Organization.

In 2019, the world’s first clinical trial (led by the Japanese Society for the Prevention of Dementia (JSDP), Professor Koji Abe, Department of Neurology, Okayama University School of Medicine) confirmed that Twendee X suppresses the progression of mild cognitive impairment. A prototype was completed in 2015. The prototype was completed in 2015, and after undergoing animal and monitoring studies, it is now being manufactured and sold as a supplement for medical institutions under the product name “MitoControl” by TIMA Tokyo Co.
